What is it with not having a bald PM?

Sir Keir Starmer
• JOHN Gulliver asks if Sir Keir Starmer’s face is his fortune, (February 6). It’s actually his hair. He has an age-defying hairline that even young men would kill for.
The last time a bald politician was elected to Number 10 was Winston Churchill in 1951 – and he was up against the also follically challenged Clement Attlee.
Pro- or anti-Europe, socialist or capitalist, all voters care about is what’s growing (or not) on your head.
As Ovid once said: “Ugly are hornless bulls, a field without grass is an eyesore, so is a tree without leaves, so is a head without hair.”
